1. Vehicle Sales & Finality
Due to the nature of automotive transactions, registration requirements, and transfer of ownership laws in Spain, all vehicle sales are final once the contract is signed and the vehicle is delivered. Standard e-commerce return policies (such as a 14-day «no questions asked» right of withdrawal) do not apply to vehicle purchases, except as required by applicable Spanish and EU laws regarding legal guarantees.
2. Inspection Prior to Purchase
To ensure your complete satisfaction, all buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect and test-drive the vehicle prior to completing the purchase. We welcome independent technical inspections at our location before finalizing any agreements.
3. Warranties & Legal Rights
All vehicles sold by Island Cars are covered by statutory warranty protections under Spanish consumer law (Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios). If a vehicle is found to have undisclosed major hidden defects (vicios ocultos) or non-conformity at the time of delivery, remedy procedures, repairs, or contract cancellations will be handled in accordance with the signed sales contract and applicable Spanish civil legislation.
4. Deposits & Order Cancellations
- If you place a reservation deposit for a vehicle and decide to cancel before taking delivery or completing the registration paperwork, please notify us immediately.
- Deposit refundability is governed by the specific terms outlined in your Reservation Agreement.
